Nothing really makes sense until you look back on it. Is it madness for a middle(ish) aged married couple to take their three year old daughter, the last of five girls, to the Middle East and beyond? Is it wrong to leave the other four lovelies behind?
What can we expect?
Beautiful people, beautiful places, sadness and longing, man’s inhumanity to man, sights and sounds to blow our minds? Bring it on, all of it, the good, the bad and the downright bizarre!
Selling your worldly possessions, all of your worldly possessions, is an exhausting and painful experience, yet strangely liberating.
We’re going on holiday, forever!
This is the start of our adventure. Papa snail, Mama snail and Bubba snail. We haven’t even left yet – countdown to 22/08/12
In the first instance we will be living in the Middle East, sampling all it has to offer. There we will work and explore until we’re done. Thereafter, who knows where we will head. At this moment in time we have no idea where our travels will take us or when they will come to an end.

So, for now, it’s out with all those material things we we held so dear. Crap collected from a thousand, previous lives.
If it don’t fit in a suitcase, we ain’t taking it.
